Introduction
Diving just a few years, but very training intensive. Keep up skills as member of NYC Aquarium Volunteer Dive Team... highly recommended. Dive coral reefs in February with no airfare! Dive w/ huge green morays and stingrays! Get to dive really local
Are you a certified diver, and if so, what certifications do you have?

GUE, PADI, DAN, AAUS, NAUI, Urban Divers, NY Aquarium. 'Master Scuba Diver' (PADI), Diving Emergency Specialist (DAN). Certifications in Ice, Deep, Wreck, Drysuit, Full Face Mask, Diver Propulsion Vehicles, Nautical Archeology, U/W Communication, plus the usual ones...

How long have you been diving and how many dives have you logged?

150+ Certified around 1986 when I lived in St Thomas, USVI, but I never pursued it. Now of course I could kick myself! A friend got my son scuba lessons when he was 12 and I went along for the ride. This time the bug bit and we've been at it for the past six years.

What type of diving do you prefer and what would you like to pursue next?

Wet! Reefs, wrecks, or ice. It's all good. Would like to do intro cavern/cave next. Anyone up for Ginnie Springs, FL? Would like to dive with anyone familiar with Beach 9th St. Rockaway. Finally got to SoCal and can't wait to get back!

What other activities do you enjoy?

Kayaking, camping, environmental issues focusing on marine conservation. Woodworker by trade, but happiest near, in, on, or under... the ocean

What is your favorite dive destination?

Love the Caribbean, but a recent trip to Catalina just wowed me. Gotta get back to that kelp!

I completed an unwater map as part of the requirements for becoming a PADI Divemaster. I make 30-40 dives there each season. We also share a common bond as NYAVDP diver.
