Hi everyone!
So, I'm getting close to start diving again, after several years off.
What holds me back is the incomplete set of equipment I have.
1. I need to choose what will work for me.
2. This has to be reasonably priced since I've already spent $XXX (may be used).

I have
1. Compressed neoprene dry suit + undersuit (apollo 4.0 ex+weezle)
2. Wrist computer (old aeris 750GT without transmitter)
3. Mask/snorkel and I know what fins do I like
4. S/S backplate + harness (halcyon)
5. weights
6. certification :))

I need :(
1. proper wing. ~30# single tank wing should do it since I cannot spend a fortune on all the accessories for doubles (correct me if I'm wrong please)
2. regulator (both stages) + 2LP hoses for wing & suit + 1HP hose with pressure gauge

(can above be rented/tried out?)

small stuff like lights, compass, knife, lift bag etc..
and then there's redundancy... can wait for now.
Did I miss anything?

Any advise/discussion is appreciated!

recomend going with larger wing up there in your cold water. It is better to have extra lift than not enough

I know this is an old post that was recently revived but I thought I would contribute in case anyone else has a similar question. I actually use a 30lb Mach V wing from Oxycheq locally. No problems with having enough lift. However, if your weighting is not quite locked in, there is always the 40 or maybe it is 45lb version. Either way, I highly recommend the donut style wings for a single tank setup regardless of who the manufacturer is. They are much easier to vent while maintaining trim.

I second Tom's advice. Especially if you are diving dry, you already have ample redundant buoyancy.
I also like the 'donut', doesn't trap air in one side like a horseshoe. I love my Halcyon Eclipse. Just stay away from the 'bondage wings' with the bungee cords all over!
Stay wet... Avra
